Introducing Pulse (Beta): A New Way to Monitor Key Financial Metrics in BrizoSystem

Keeping a close eye on your company’s financial health shouldn’t require jumping between multiple reports and dashboards. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Pulse (Beta) — a new feature in BrizoSystem that brings your most critical financial indicators together in one clean, visual interface.

Currently in beta, Pulse provides a concise yet powerful summary of key metrics for the reporting company. This new screen is designed to support faster decision-making by showing what’s on track, what’s underperforming, and what requires attention — all at a glance.

What is Pulse (Beta)?

Pulse is BrizoSystem’s new KPI-focused interface. It pulls together essential metrics across performance categories like Profitability, Liquidity, Efficiency, and Growth, and displays them in a highly visual and structured format.

Instead of digging through multiple reports or downloading data into spreadsheets, users can now go to the Pulse tab and get an immediate overview of how their company is doing this month, year-to-date (YTD), and compared to key targets.

Deep Dive into the Pulse Screen

Let’s take a closer look at what you’ll find on the Pulse screen:

1. Key Metrics by Category

The Pulse dashboard is organized into four key categories:

  • Financial Performance: Includes metrics like Net Profit, Revenue, Gross Profit %, EBITDA, and Net Profit %.
  • Cash & Liquidity: Tracks Cash Balance, Operating Cashflow, Working Capital, and Current Ratio.
  • Efficiency: Highlights Receivables Days, Payables Days, and Cash Conversion Cycle.
  • Growth: Shows Revenue Growth, Net Profit Growth, and Expense Growth.

Each section allows users to focus on a specific area of performance — whether they are concerned about cash flow, operational efficiency, or overall profitability.

2. Multiple Comparison Views

For each KPI, users can see:

  • Current Month and YTD values
  • Target for the metric
  • Variances:
    • vs Target
    • vs Target YTD
    • vs Last Month
    • vs Last Year

These comparisons are color-coded:

  • Green for positive variance (on track or above target)
  • ⚠️ Yellow for neutral or minor variance
  • Red for underperformance

This immediate visual feedback helps finance teams quickly identify where performance is exceeding expectations — and where corrective action may be needed.

3. Progress Bar and Spotlight

Each KPI comes with a progress bar that visually represents performance relative to the target, along with a spotlight tag such as:

  • On Track
  • At Risk
  • Critical
  • Off Track

This gives additional context to the numbers and allows users to prioritize their focus during reviews or internal discussions.

What Makes Pulse (Beta) Unique

Unlike static reports, the Pulse screen is designed to be dynamic and immediately actionable. The interface is intuitive, and the traffic-light color coding ensures that even non-finance stakeholders can understand performance at a glance.

Whether you’re a CFO preparing for a board meeting or a manager needing quick visibility into your business unit’s performance, Pulse gives you what you need without overloading you with unnecessary data.

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. As a beta release, we’re actively collecting feedback to shape the future of Pulse. Planned improvements include:

  • Custom KPI selection
  • Drill-down from metric to detailed transactions
  • Advanced threshold settings and alert customization
  • Integration with Insight Package and scheduled reports

We Want Your Feedback!

As this feature is still in beta, your input is incredibly valuable. If you’re already a BrizoSystem user, we invite you to explore the Pulse screen and share your thoughts on what works, what’s missing, and how it can better support your reporting needs.
